These patent drawings from 1953 of “Pyrotomic” Disintegrator guns and rifles are so cool, I almost want to print and frame them. Plus, I’m just imagining all the sci-fi 1950s “Mars Needs Women” fantasies they bring to mind — except, sadly, they are actually patents for fantasies: toy guns, made by space-toy manufacturer Pyro Plastics.
