More of Hollywood’s Creative Physics

Last week I linked to this fun post at Guardian Unlimited about how all those scenes where a casually tossed cigarette causes pools of gas to ignite into hero-saving flameballs aren’t possible — and now this! Over at Neatorama they’ve got a list (republished with permission, updated) detailing a number of fun Hollywood physics myths, like radioactivity making things glow, sound traveling in space, and more. The only main impossibilities of physics I can see they missed was the one about Ben Affleck’s “talent” and Mel Gibstein’s “credibility”, but that’s fodder for another list…
