Even Though Porn is (Still) Legal in the US

r3_19810_8.gifXbiz reports that Jan LaRue Blasts DOJ for Not Doing Enough to Stop Porn. That’s right, when you never, ever think that someone could have a healthy sex life that isn’t with lights out and eyes closed (OMG — look down and you’re watching porn!), you become like the head of Concerned Women of America and petition the Department of Justice for millions more to be wasted spent a year on questionable obscenity trials for porn that is made by and for adults. ::sigh:: Snip:

Adult entertainment industry detractor Jan LaRue, who serves as chief counsel for the conservative values group Concerned Women for America (CWA), has issued a report critical of the FBI and Justice Department for not doing enough to bring obscenity prosecution against pornographers.
In her report, LaRue charges that neither President Bush nor Attorney General Alberto Gonzales have made good on their promises to make prosecuting crimes against children and obscenity major priorities for the Justice Department.
Earlier this month, Gonzales asked Congress for an additional $25 million in the 2008 fiscal budget to fight child pornography and obscenity — two crimes Justice has lumped together.
