I just got the new Canon Powershot TX1 (details here) and I love it to bits, but before I ordered it, I contemplated getting a Xacti, since it seems to be what most of my vlogger-friends prefer. I’m glad I waited — eventually I’d love to add the Xacti Waterproof Camcorder to my multimedia tool arsenal. Can you image how much fun this would be on vacation — and my other, ahem, pursuits? Messy fetish, flying beer, unsettlingly wet Marching Band gigs… It’s not HD, but Gizmodo has the Xacti Waterproof details and they look swimmingly good — up to five feet deep! Love the turquoise model.
